You might have already heard "Porto and Gaia: United for the World Capital of Sport 2027", the official anthem for Porto and Gaia’s campaign to become the World Capital of Sport 2027! This inspiring track was composed and produced by André Tentugal, capturing the energy, passion, and determination behind the cities’ sporting ambition. Listen to the anthem here and feel the spirit of movement and unity that drives this initiative forward!
The most recent member of our community - Paulo Pires - released his piano solo record (yes, recorded on our Fazioli!) and he is the music director for the We Will Rock You show. During the last few months, he also composed the soundtrack for "A Caixa" which premieres on April 23, in Beja.

What's new at Arda Recorders?
We can't believe it's almost 3 months into 2025. Our studios are busier than ever, thanks to everyone who trust us with their music! In February, Cori Nora flew in from Switzerland to do their next album with Joao Brandao. Corinne and her band wanted to capture the raw energy of their new songs so they decided to track this album live off the floor (vocals, amps, everything in the same room). The songs are amazing, and the record should be out in a few months, so keep an eye out for it! The nominees for the 2025 edition of Play Awards were announced in late February and we were thrilled to see that two of the nominees for Best Jazz Album were recorded here, and another one was mastered in our studios. Out of 4 nominees, that's not bad at all! Marquise released their new album in March - you can check it out here. It was produced, recorded and mixed by Joao Brandao during last year and people everywhere are loving it. A lot more to come in the next few months!

What's new at Arda Academy?
With just a few days left until the deadline for applications, now is the perfect time to secure your spot in one of our May 2025 short courses: Sound Design & Storytelling, Scoring for Film, TV & Videogames, and Live Electronic Music Creation. These courses are one of a kind in Portugal, offering an exclusive opportunity to learn from renowned industry professionals like Jack Wall, Pedro Marques, Pedro Camacho, Dinis Henriques, Tiago Cardoso, Branko Neskov, and Filipe Galante. If you’re looking to take your skills to the next level, don’t miss this chance—applications close next Monday, March 31st!
Also, over the past few weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming the selected participants of last year’s Eurotoire project masterclasses (held at Arda Academy) into our studios. After learning from four different mentors on topics such as music monetization, networking, promotion, and preparing for gigs and studio sessions, six emerging artists from Cyprus, Portugal, and France joined forces to write and produce a record for this project! This experience has been an invaluable learning journey, pushing their creativity and collaboration to new heights. We can’t wait to share the results - stay tuned for the final release!
